Singapore Blockchain Week returns, one of Asia’s largest blockchain events
Singapore’s Blockchain Association made the announcement today. The National Trades Union Congress, Banking and Financial Services Union, SGTech, and E2i are all supporting Singapore Blockchain Week 2022, which runs from July 25 to 29. The blockchain event, which is supported by the government, is one of the largest of its kind in Asia.
Singapore Blockchain Week brings together industry executives, academics, innovators, and government and regulatory agencies from around the world to engage both physically and virtually, regionally and worldwide.
The theme of the conference and expo, Web3 and Beyond, attracts industry professionals and pioneers to Sands Expo and Convention Centre on July 26-27. The Singapore Blockchain Week summit will cover a wide range of issues, including the future of blockchain and digital assets, legislation, Web3, decentralized finance, enterprise blockchain, non fungible tokens, gaming finance, and using blockchain for good purposes.
The conference will feature a fireside talk with Sopnendu Mohanty, the Singapore Monetary Authority’s chief fintech officer, as well as a keynote speech by CTH Group founder and Atlas Technology Management CEO Richard Yuan and US Securities and Exchange Commission commissioner Hester Peirce.
“Singapore’s blockchain and digital assets market, albeit embryonic, is prepared to grow as adoption and understanding of blockchain grows,” said Chia Hock Lai, co-chairman of Blockchain Association Singapore. It’s heartening to see that Singapore Blockchain Week has attracted a broad and spectacular roster of industry experts and speakers from all over the world to gather and exchange ideas, which will help to grow the local and regional blockchain ecosystem.
On July 25, Morpheus Labs and Huawei will host a hackathon to demonstrate the finalists’ products, which will kick off Singapore Blockchain Week. Masterclasses and a career fair held by Blockchain Association Singapore, E2i, NTUC FairPrice Co-Operative, and Global FinTech Institute are among the other events taking place throughout the week-long event. From July 26 to 29, there will be an exclusive gala dinner called Blockchain for Good.
“The pandemic has pushed the innovation and use of digital assets,” Yuan, who is also an emeritus partner of Singapore Blockchain Week 2022, added. Web3 is unavoidable as the digital asset sector becomes more institutionalized. Only if all parties, including technology know-how leaders, can navigate, collaborate, and succeed in this scary new world will a viable digital asset ecosystem be formed.
