Declaration of EMIT Creators
July 3, 2022 — Independent choice is an indispensable force in a society dominated by power, authority, and large-scale commercial institutions in this age of information and commerce. The right to decide one’s own actions without interference or interference from others is known as independent choice. It is a fundamental right, like privacy, to be protected from deception, manipulation, persecution, and slavery in exchange for freedom and happiness.
Independent choice consists of two key components: Personality refers to the internal ability to think and judge information independently, whereas painless refusal refers to the ability to refuse something without causing harm to oneself or others.
It is extremely difficult to exercise independent choice anywhere, at any time. Faced with dazzling advertisements from commercial entities today, one may be unable to judge independently and be swayed into purchasing what they do not require. Even in the most democratic countries, people are subjected to a variety of media agendas dictated by politicians. The media influences people’s judgments and choices by publishing the information they have access to in order to achieve political goals.
Even in the age of social media, monopolists can filter relevant information more subtly thanks to fierce competition and mergers and acquisitions. Individual accounts are sometimes banned or censored in extreme cases, resulting in the loss of real assets and social capital. People in some countries or regions are unable to pursue certain beliefs or lifestyles because they face persecution for their mere thoughts or words, and they are unable to educate their children.
To maintain independent choice, society requires more than just free speech; it also requires a safe environment for the dissemination of information that reflects reality and is impartially evaluated. This environment must be free of political or commercial influence from any authority, country, region, or belief system so that people can freely express themselves and follow their beliefs.
Poverty also restricts one’s ability to make independent decisions. People are too preoccupied and exhausted to judge information effectively while working long hours for political and commercial organisations just to survive. When faced with a decision, wealth provides more options. A few at the top look down on the “commoners” who toil for pitiful wages, but if there were more ways to create wealth, everyone could achieve their goals.
This has always been the case in the world, but now there is a tool — encryption technology — that can assist in exploring what lies beyond the boundaries of one’s reality. However, only by properly employing encryption technology can one foster a benign environment for the dissemination of information outside of external influence — with equitable and diverse methods of wealth creation.
Independent choice, like privacy, must become a social contract requirement. The Emit Creators are a group that seeks freedom and truth, thinks independently, upholds human values, and advocates for free will.
The Emit Creators proposed its vision for increasing decentralization and wealth creation through technology in November 2020, and launched several decentralized economic and information-dissemination scenarios, as well as social experiments. However, its exploration speed and efficiency are still far from satisfactory, and it is always looking for new Emit Creators to join the team.
